Key duties include:BookkeepingRecording and maintaining accurate financial records for multiple clientsProcessing purchase invoices, receipts, and bank transactions (primarily using Dext and Xero)Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliationsPreparing payroll journalsPreparing CIS returnsAssisting with VAT return preparation and submissions(Desirable) Bringing client figures up to trial balance, ready for accounts preparationPayrollProcessing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for clientsEnsuring payrolls are accurate, compliant, and submitted on timeHandling RTI submissions to HMRCManaging pension auto-enrolment and submissionsDealing with payroll queries from clients and employeesCompany Secretarial & ComplianceAssisting with company formations, director/PSC changes, and registered office updatesPreparing and filing confirmation statements with Companies HouseMaintaining statutory registers and other Companies House recordsSupporting basic compliance and administrative filingsGeneral SupportAssisting with the preparation of accounts and tax returnsLiaising with clients professionally and responding to queriesProviding administrative support to the wider teamContributing ideas to improve internal processes and efficiencyWhat Were Looking ForEssential RequirementsAAT Level 3 qualified (or equivalent)Previous experience working in an accountancy practiceMinimum 1 years hands-on experience with XeroExperience processing payrolls (including RTI submissions)Familiarity with Companies House filings and basic company secretarial dutiesStrong working knowledge of Microsoft ExcelExcellent attention to detail and high level of accuracyStrong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlinesConfident communicator, able to deal with clients and colleagues professionallyAbility to work independently xjdpvnf while knowing when to escalate issuesDesirable (but not essential)Experience using DextKnowledge of VAT and CIS compliance and returnsExperience bringing figures to trial balance ready for accounts preparationExperience managing multiple client portfoliosFamiliarity with Sage Payroll or other payroll softwareA proactive approach to client service and problem-solvingWillingness to learn new systems and processes quicklyWhat We OfferA supportive, friendly, and collaborative working environmentExposure to a wide variety of clients and industriesOpportunities for personal development and career progressionOngoing training and support from an experienced teamIf you are an organised, reliable professional who enjoys working with numbers and helping clients, we would love to hear from you.
