JDR recruitment are recruiting for a Laser Cutting and Punching Planner based in OldhamThis is a permanent role starting immediatelySalary on offer is 30-35k per annum39 Hours per week over 4 Days Monday-Thursday (Flexi Time) between 6.45 am - 6.00 pm.The ideal candidate will have experience in sheet metal subcontracting. You are a charge hand or skilled operator with at least 5 years experience and you are IT literate.We are seeking a conscientious and proactive Planner to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, ensuring materials are available, and facilitating efficient workflow. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and experience in fabrication, assembly, and sheet metal workDutiesDevelop and maintain detailed production schedules to meet delivery deadlinesCoordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure the availability of materials, tooling, and hand tools necessary for productionAnalyse work orders and drawings to plan fabrication, welding, grinding, and assembly activitiesMonitor inventory levels of sheet metal and other raw materials, placing orders as neededCollaborate with the engineering department to review technical specifications and improve manufacturing processesUtilise basic maths skills to calculate dimensions, quantities, and material requirements accuratelyAssist in troubleshooting production issues related to fabrication or assembly processesEnsure safety standards are adhered to during planning and execution of tasksMaintain accurate documentation of production plans and modifications for continuous improvementThe company offers fantastic working benefits which can be discussed.If you are interested please apply onlineWe are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
