Technical Sales Engineer - Packaging Machinery / FMCGMake sure to apply quickly in order to maximise your chances of being considered for an interview Read the complete job description below.45,000-50,000 + 5k-20k Performance Bonus + 450/month Car AllowanceField-based | UKA rare opportunity for a hands-on packaging or FMCG service engineer to step into a more advanced, solutions-focused role.You'll join a specialist manufacturer of high-performance adhesive technologies used across high-speed production lines, working with major food & beverage and FMCG manufacturers to improve uptime, reduce waste, and optimise line performance.The RoleThis is not a traditional sales job.You'll work directly on customer production lines, identifying the root causes of downtime, inefficiency, and poor performance, then recommending and implementing solutions that improve output and reliability.Diagnose issues on packaging lines (cartoners, labellers, case packers, etc.)Work 'lineside' to improve performance, reduce downtime, and optimise processesRun trials and validate improvements on live production environmentsRecommend upgrades, consumables, and system improvementsProduce technical reports and proposals based on real data and performance gainsSupport implementation and ensure long-term success of solutionsWhat You'll Be Working WithHot melt adhesive systems (e.g. Nordson, Valco, Meler, ITW)High-speed FMCG packaging equipmentLabelling, carton sealing, and end-of-line systemsProcess improvements focused on OEE, cost reduction, and efficiencyWhat We're Looking ForBackground as a Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or similarExperience within FMCG, food & beverage, or packaging machineryStrong fault-finding and understanding of production line equipmentComfortable working directly with customers on-siteInterest in moving into a more consultative, solutions-led roleWhy This RoleMove beyond reactive maintenance into root cause problem-solvingIdeal for engineers looking to progress off the tools while staying technicalLess firefighting, more ownership of long-term solutions and improvementsClear progression into senior technical or commercial rolesStrong earning potential with performance-related bonusThe OpportunityThis role suits an engineer who enjoys solving problems properly, working closely with customers, and wants to progress without losing their technical edge.WR Engineering are the #1 recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing & technical sales jobs.
