Were looking for a reliable and safety-focused HGV Class 2 Driver to join my clientsteam in Coventry. If you enjoy working outdoors, being part of a team, and providing an essential service to the community, this could be the role for you. What youll be doing Driving council vehicles across Coventry and surrounding areas Supporting services such as waste collection, recycling, street cleaning, and drainage Leading and working with a crew to make sure jobs are completed safely and on time Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues Following all road laws, safety rules, and council procedures Speaking with members of the public in a polite and helpful way Reporting any incidents, near misses, or safety concerns Key responsibilities Ensure your vehicle is safe, clean, and ready for use Monitor working hours and follow driving regulations Make sure loads are within legal weight limits Work closely with supervisors and team members Support and guide new drivers when needed Follow all site rules when visiting depots or disposal sites What were looking for A valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence (max 6 penalty points) A current Driver CPC qualification A good understanding of road safety and transport laws Experience driving large vehicles in a professional setting Ability to work under pressure and stay calm in challenging situations Good communication and teamwork skills Basic IT skills for completing reports and checks TPBN1_UKTJ
