This role will take ownership of the design department, ensuring delivery of high-quality, compliant and cost-effective mechanical solutions while driving design strategy, team development, and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Lead, manage and develop the design engineering team to deliver projects on time and to a high standardOversee the design of packaging machinery, automation equipment, jigs and fixtures from concept through to commissioningEnsure designs meet performance, cost, safety, and regulatory requirementsManage departmental processes, CAD systems, and design standardsCollaborate cross functionally to define specifications and support overall project deliveryWhat Were Looking For:Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, with experience at management levelStrong experience using SolidWorks, including exposure to PDM systemsExperience managing xjdpvnf a mechanical design team within machinery, automation or capital equipment environmentsStrong background in mechanical design, ideally with hands-on design engineer experienceUnderstanding of regulatory requirements and machinery safety standardsIf this sounds like you and you would thrive in a leadership role within a fast-pacedengineering environment, we would love to hear from you.
