Heavy Plant / Plant Machinery EngineerAn experienced Heavy Plant / Plant Machinery Engineer is sought for a role with a reputable main dealer that values expertise and supports ongoing development.The company is a well-established, family-owned business with a long history of supporting the construction industry. Known for its commitment to quality, strong customer relationships, and investment in its people, it supplies and supports a range of premium construction machinery, with a strong focus on excavators, alongside full aftersales service.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out routine servicing and scheduled maintenance on construction plant machinery, & varying sizes of excavatorsDiagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systemsAttend breakdowns and complete on-site repairs efficiently on excavators and similar plantPerform pre-delivery inspections and support warranty workManage workload and schedule effectivelyRepresent the business professionally while working both on-site and in the workshopSkills & ExperienceExperience working on construction plant machinery, ideally excavators (e.g. 360 excavators, tracked or wheeled), or similar equipment such as construction machinery, construction plant, agricultural machinery, forklifts, or lifting equipmentStrong fault-finding and problem-solving ability across hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systemsAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyCustomer-focused with confident communication skillsComfortable working in both workshop and field-based environmentsQualificationsRecognised engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)Good working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systemsFull UK driving licenceWhat We Offer£20 per hour (OTE £47,000+), with annual salary reviewsAdditional overtime (paid at time and a half) available earlier and later for those who wish to increase earningsClear progression routes within a growing group businessFull manufacturer trainingCompany vehicle and fuel card23.5 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service)Company pension scheme with up to 12.5% combined contributionsOptional salary sacrifice pension schemeLife assurance (up to 5x salary)Access to company share schemeStaff discounts on tools, parts, and equipmentJBRP1_UKTJ
