If so, we want to hear from you.We are currently recruiting for a Forklift Battery Engineer to cover Reading and surrounding areas. This is a field-based role with no call-out requirements, offering autonomy and flexibility for the right candidate.Location: Reading and Surrounding AreasHours: Monday - Friday (8-hour shifts)Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum (DOE) + Company Van, Equipment, Overtime & BenefitsContract: PermanentDuties:Service, maintain, and repair forklift battery systems on customer sitesCarry out routine battery maintenance including topping, cleaning, and inspectionsDiagnose faults and carry out repairs on batteries and chargersLiaise with customers and provide a high level of service and communicationComplete job sheets and service reports accurately and on timePrepare and transport equipment safely between sitesBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teamsWork closely with the service department to plan and prioritise workloadProvide support for additional cover when requiredThe Ideal Candidate Must:Have strong electrical knowledge and experience working with forklift batteries (charger repair desirable)Hold a full UK Driving Licence (company van provided)Be confident, professional, and well-organisedHave excellent communication and customer service skillsBe able to work independently and manage their own workloadBe diligent, reliable, and capable of working under pressureHave experience within an MHE or materials handling environment (desirable but not essential)Be IT literate and comfortable completing documentation and reportsBenefits:Company pensionFlexible working scheduleOvertime opportunitiesCompany van and equipment providedOn-the-job training and developmentIf this role sounds of interest to you then please apply with an up-to-date CV.Impact Recruitment is an employment agency working on behalf of our clientJBRP1_UKTJ
