ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIANThe following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.POSITION : Architectural TechnicianLOCATION : Commutable from Grimsby, Scunthorpe, York , Hull , Doncaster, Beverley , SelbySALARY AND BENEFITS : 35k excellent benefits, pension, life insuranceTHE ROLE : This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Architectural Technician to join our client who are a successful and well respected multi disciplinary consultancy based in Yorkshire. This role can be hybrid if required, working a 37.5 hour week.DUTIES WILL INCLUDE: Work on a variety of projects within the Commercial, Residential and Conservation sector. Working on all stages of assigned projects as part of a team and individually as required. Liaising with other members of the design team and clients developing a design brief. Managing numerous jobs simultaneously, producing working drawings/specifications and checking/amending similar work drafted by others. Preparing and submitting Planning Applications on a variety of projects. Producing high quality detailed technical drawing packages using AutoCAD (required) and ArchiCAD (Desirable) Software. Attending client/site meetings.YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING : Previous experience working as an Architectural Technician. Minimum HNC/HND level qualification in a relevant subject Proficiency in AutoCAD essential (ArchiCAD desirable but not essential). Strong technical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. The desire to progress within the practice. Ability to work independently and within a team. Excellent time management and an ability to meet deadlines. Strong knowledge of UK Planning, Building Regulations and building construction detailing experience.
