Textile Operatives - Spinner & Twister Pay : 12.71p/h Hours: Mon - Thurs 6am - 4pm and Fri 6am - 12pm or 2pm depending on your preference. Stafflex are recruiting on behalf of a well-established textile business supplying high-quality yarns across a range of manufacturing markets. We are now seeking Textile Operatives (Spinner & Twister) to join their production team. Spinner (Mule Spinning) Operating mule spinning machinery to produce high-quality yarn Monitoring machine performance throughout production runs Piecing up and repairing breaks in yarn as required Ensuring consistent yarn quality in line with production standards Carrying out basic machine checks and reporting faults or issues Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working area Working to production targets while maintaining attention to detail Twister Operating twisting machinery to combine and strengthen yarn products Feeding, loading and removing yarn packages from machines Inspecting yarn quality and identifying any defects Carrying out minor adjustments to machinery where required Handling yarn with care to avoid damage or contamination Maintaining accurate production records where needed Working efficiently as part of a busy production team Essentials Competencies: Some previous experience or basic understanding of textile manufacturing is desirable Good attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality output Ability to follow instructions and production processes accurately Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills Comfortable working in a physical, hands-on production environment Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain good attendance Able to work independently as well as part of a team Good level of concentration for repetitive but skilled tasks What Next?!
