Learning Support Assistant (LSA)We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support children with autism and complex needs in a rewarding, hands-on school environment.Position: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)You could be just the right applicant for this job Read all associated information and make sure to apply.Salary: 20,021 to 23,049 (term-time only)Location: Powys, Mid WalesHours: Full-Time, Term-Time OnlyContract: Permanent About the RoleThis is a varied and highly rewarding role where learning goes beyond the classroom. You will support pupils with autism and complex needs to build confidence, develop independence and engage in meaningful day-to-day experiences.You will work both indoors and outdoors, supporting structured learning as well as practical activities such as cooking, gardening and community-based experiences.Key responsibilities include:Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groupsAssisting teachers with lessons, activities and behaviour supportEncouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulationSupporting daily routines, transitions and personal care where requiredDelivering engaging learning experiences both in and outside the classroomSupporting life skills such as cooking, gardening and independenceBuilding strong, consistent and trusting relationships with pupilsThis role can be physically and emotionally demanding.
