We are excited to invite applications for a Band 6 Gastroenterology Dietitian to join our service at the Great Western Hospital.This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, providing high‑quality dietetic care to both inpatients and outpatients with a wide range of gastroenterology conditions, including Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, pancreatic disorders, liver disease and coeliac disease. The successful candidate will deliver individual assessments and interventions as well as group education sessions.Whether you are an experienced Band 6 or a Band 5 Dietitian ready to progress, we welcome applications from individuals keen to develop their specialist practice in this area.You will be joining a friendly and supportive dietetic team comprising Registered Dietitians, Dietetic Assistants, a Dietetic Advanced Clinical Practitioner and Nutrition Nurses, all supported by an excellent administration team. There are opportunities to be involved in—or lead—service development projects and audits, as well as contribute to teaching for the wider MDT and students. We offer excellent access to CPD, alongside peer support and ongoing professional development.Main duties of the job The post holders will work alongside other dietitians to provide and develop the dietetic service for patients with GI conditions in both the acute and community setting. They will be a key part of the gastroenterology multidisciplinary and dietetic team, ensuring continuous service development and promotion of the gastroenterology dietetic service.
