Join our teamapply today!Position:The main purpose of the role is to provide valuable service in our operations department, to organise the safe, efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods.Develop key service relationships with customers for an effective and efficient serviceDevelop strong relationships with overseas agents and suppliersQuoting customers on a daily basisResponsible for the Profit/Loss on the serviceEnsure the delivery and or collection of goods across EuropeComply with EU and UK regulations and requirements regarding export / import documentationAttend regular reviews of performance and annual appraisal meeting with managerLearn and operate our in house Azyra systemMaintaining accurate administrative recordsResolving and managing queries and complaints courteously and efficientlyKey Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role:Bi-Lingual Italian and English both written & verbal would be a distinct advantage but not essential.Experienced in customer facing roll for 1-2 years.Computer literate with extremely accurate data entry and attention to detail.Some experience working in operations desired but not essential as we are willing to train anyone who may be interested.Must be commercially aware and liaise closely with the sales department, be able to negotiate favourable rates and win business for their trade route.Good communication skills and high level of customer service.Ability to work as part of a busy team.Good communication and organisational skills.Some knowledge of imports and transport operations would be advantageous.We can offer you:An attractive salary & rewards, reflecting market trends25 days annual leave increasing, plus 8 bank holidaysCompany Pension SchemeDiscount platform including top retailersFull training and supportCycle to work schemeEmployee Assistance ProgramExtensive learning opportunitiesEmployee Engagement ForumSimarco Stars - Reward and recognition programmeTreat Days includes Pizza for everyone!This is a great opportunity to kick-start your career in logistics with an award-winning company.
