Our well established, client is recruiting for an Upholster to join their established team at their Reading workshop. There is a potential to work on an occasional SaturdayBenefits - pension, 21 days holiday + bank holidays, free parkingThe successful Upholster will have the following relating skills: Experience working with a variety of upholstery materialsCut and apply foam and upholstery fabricSewing and cutting skillsStrip down and re-upholster furniture, using supplied and own-made templatesApply buttoning and cushioningUse hand and air compressor toolsFix webbing and springs into seatsCover frames with padding and fabric using sewing machines, stitches 'staplesUse decorative techniques such as fringing, piping and buttoningRenovate and re-upholstering old furnitureCut wood to replace damaged seat boards etcThe successful Upholster will have the following experience: xjdpvnf High attention to detail is essentialAbility to work well with your handsAble to use your initiative and a flexible working attitudeKnowledge of manufacturing production and processesAbility to use, repair and maintain machines and toolsA team player is essentialStrong work ethic, resilient, self-starter with a can-do attitude
