Through our merger weve brought together shared values, skills and ambition, helping us make an even bigger difference in the communities we serve.Were now looking for a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our Homes and Maintenance team, delivering high quality electrical repairs, rewires and planned maintenance across Hertfordshire and the surrounding counties.About the roleAs an Electrician, youll carry out a wide range of electrical works including responsive repairs, full and partial rewires, planned maintenance and testing. Youll work in both occupied and vacant properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and in line with current regulations.Youll be a visible representative of SettleParadigm, working closely with colleagues across Property Services, Customer Services and our wider maintenance teams to deliver a seamless and positive customer experience.What youll doCarry out electrical rewires, responsive repairs, planned maintenance and associated making-goodComplete inspection and testing, certification and notation for as-built drawingsUndertake fault finding, rectification and renewals in domestic dwellingsCarry out tests on existing installations (domestic and occasional industrial)Complete PAT testing as requiredFollow all health and safety policies, procedures and codes of practiceEnsure PPE is worn and used appropriately at all timesEstimate materials accurately and manage stock responsiblyPurchase materials in line with procurement processes and submit delivery notesComplete all paperwork and job information accurately and on timeUndertake weekly vehicle checks and maintain vehicle cleanlinessReport vehicle defects promptlyWork collaboratively as part of a multi-functional teamParticipate in the out-of-hours standby rota (after probation)What were looking forMust havesQualified to 17th Edition and 2394/2395 Inspection & TestingFully conversant with current IEE regulations for domestic electrical installationsExperience in electrical rewires, testing, fault finding and domestic installation workExperience of PAT testingAbility to plaster chases and small areas as part of installation workStrong understanding of health and safety within the building industryGood IT skillsExcellent attention to detail and ability to work efficientlyFull clean UK driving licenceNice to havesExperience working within social housingAbility to work confidently in both occupied and void propertiesFor added brillianceA strong commitment to delivering excellent customer serviceA positive, proactive approach to problem solvingConfidence representing SettleParadigm professionally in customers homesBenefitsAt SettleParadigm, we believe in creating an environment where our people feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.
