In this role you will be expected to act as a firm leader in your practice area and take on a key supervisory/leadership role for junior lawyers. You should contribute to the management of the practice area, especially decisions relating to your own team.As a Legal Director you should be confident in taking charge of managing the firm's relationship with key clients and be able to maintain multiple sustained relationships with clients. You should also be responsible for building the competence of your team by setting the tone and standards to motivate others to give their best to the business and clients. Legal Directors are expected to lead the way in knowledge transfer across the firm to benefit the business and apply themselves to complex, high‑risk, high‑value or high‑profile client transactions/matters.Legal Directors are engaged in making commercial decisions to help implement Brodies' strategy in a profitable or client‑focused way.The role will include having a vital role in major projects and high‑value cross border deals, and running your own independent transactions for Scottish and London‑based clients active in Scotland.
