Symphony Healthcare Services have an opportunity for a Salaried Newly Qualified GP to join the team at Ryalls Park and Oaklands Medical Centres in Yeovil, Somerset.Ryalls and Oaklands are located within the town of Yeovil in South Somerset.Oaklands Surgery merged with Ryalls Park Medical Centre in July 2025 increasing the list size to approximately 17,100 patients.The medical centres offer a wide range of healthcare services, provided by amulti-disciplinary team. This team includes GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists, Practice Nurses and HCAs.All clinicians at the practices use askmyGP, which is an online tool providing quick and easy access for our patients. It enables the team to prioritise requests supporting patients either by telephone, online, video or face to face consultations.Yeovil is veryclose to the A303, making travel to London, Bristol, Exeter and Bath easy. And Bristol, Bournemouth, Southampton and Exeter International Airport links Somerset to the world.We have 8 sessions available at £10,000 per session, plus the option to join the NHS pension, along with many other staff benefits. Main duties of the job As a Symphony GP, you would undertake all the clinical duties associated with a GP working in primary care, without the responsibilities and risks associated with being a Partner.We can offer opportunities from salaried to employed level GP posts, depending on your experience and the level of responsibility you take on at the practice.All GPs working for us are paid as Employees, unlike Partners, which means less risk for you and more time to focus on patient care. We put patients first, and our GPs work flexibly according to need, so contributing to areas such as QOF, QI, training and research projects providing a huge amount of variety to the role.However, our less experienced GPs have a clearly defined job plan setting out the hours of work and responsibility and tasks associated with the role.Through annual appraisal, we encourage career development and progression and are keen to support GPs who wish to extend their role, or have specialist skills which can be utilised in primary care.About us Established in 2016, Symphony Healthcare Services (Symphony) provides NHS primary care provision across 21 sites within Somerset, linked to 14 general practice contracts.
