Salary for this role is circa £60,000-£68,000 fixed + circa 15% bonus + market leading benefitsA leading investor within the UK healthcare and care home sector is seeking an Operations & Quality Assessor to support and oversee quality, compliance, and operational performance across a national portfolio of care homes with a concentration in the South of England. This is a highly visible, field-based role working closely with care home operators to ensure the highest standards of care, governance, and regulatory compliance are achieved and maintained.The RoleThis role combines audit, governance, and stakeholder management, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct in-depth reviews of care homes, including analysis of:KPI dataIncident and safeguarding reportsCare Quality Commission (CQC) reports and ratingsCarry out regular on-site audit and quality assessment visits to care homes in line with current regulatory frameworksEvaluate care quality, operational performance, and compliance against CQC standardsProduce detailed audit reports with clear findings, risk assessments, and actionable recommendationsWork closely with operators to:Implement improvement plansMonitor progressRevisit services based on risk profileIdentify trends, risks, and areas for improvement across the wider portfolioParticipate in regular governance and quality review meetings with internal and external stakeholdersSupport CQC-related processes, including:RegistrationsRegulatory structuringOngoing compliance trackingTravel Requirements (Essential)This is a highly mobile role involving extensive national travel. You will be on the road weekly, visiting care homes across the UK, but predominantly in the south. Travel is expected to be circa 60%+, including regular overnight stays where required. This role is best suited to individuals who are comfortable working in a field-based, multi-site environmentRequirementsProven experience in adult social care, specifically within care homes (residential and/or nursing)Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, inspections, and compliance frameworksExperience in one or more of the following:Quality assuranceClinical governanceCompliance / regulatory oversightMulti-site or regional rolesAbility to assess care quality, identify risk, and drive improvementStrong report writing and analytical skillsExcellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge operators constructivelyDesirableClinical background (e.g. Registered Nurse with active NMC PIN)Experience working across multiple care home locations or within a group / regional structurePrevious experience with regulatory bodies or inspection frameworks
