Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM UK & Ireland's Infrastructure Segment is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to support the delivery of landmark energy infrastructure projects across Scotland. As part of our ASTI Onshore team, you will help shape and deliver complex civil engineering works that underpin the UKs renewable energy future, including new substations and HVDC converter stations in Inverness-shire and along the Moray coast.Your team BAM operates a flexible working policy.The role will be based out of our head office in Kilsyth or Inverness and regular visits to sites in the North of Scotland will be required.Making Possible As a Senior Planning Engineer, you will report to the Framework Planning Lead and be responsible for the following:Developing and maintaining detailed programmes in P6 from first principles including resource tegration and management of sub-contractor and supplier programmes with our own.Assimilate and interpret information from tender and project documentation.Understand civil construction techniques and developing them into a working programme.Coordinate with estimators and commercial teams on all programme pile concise narratives, phasing, reports and supporting documents for input into quality submissions for tenders and projects.Take ownership of the programme to drive project delivery.Utilise a number of planning techniques and tools to communicate the programme effectively.Contribute, support and communicate programme information, risk and commercial issues to operational teams in a variety of formats.Chair collaborative planning workshops with clients, operational teams and subcontractors (depending on Project requirements).Update and monitor project progress, compile reports against project and contract troduce and analyse change in programmes and support the commercial teams.Evaluate supply chain and subcontract ply with business processes and systems.Maintain awareness of latest construction techniques.What do you bring to the role? Experience of delivering programme under the NEC form of contract is preferable.Must have at least 5 years planning experience and will require the ability to communicate and manage own workload and support Planning Engineers within a portfolio of projectsA qualification in Civil Engineering/Construction to HND level or equivalent is preferred but not essentialCompetent in the use of various planning software, P6 is a must.A demonstrable ability to develop, own and drive programmes.The ability to communicate effectively with all fortable in presenting and client facing situations.Can demonstrate experience of working closely with site construction teams and understanding of each /"customer's/" programme requirements.A clear ability for logical thinking and working in an ordered fashion.The ability to work to often challenging timescales.Experience in producing summary construction or project control information in excel and Power BI would be an advantageTender experience would be an advantage.Strong commercial and contractual acumen with a track record of change management within NEC contracts.Whats in it for you?
