Job Description

Norfolk & Waveney University Hospitals Group is delighted to appoint a Group Chief People Officer. As part of the newly formed Group, the Group Chief People Officer will shape and develop the culture and workforce delivery across the Group’s hospital board, helping transform both patient and staff experience. Key ResponsibilitiesLead executive‑level HR and OD activity for an organisation of approximately 18,000 employees, as a non‑voting attendee on the Board of Directors. Develop and implement a coherent and effective Group workforce strategy in partnership with hospital leadership teams, clinical groups, professional bodies, trade unions and staff representatives. Collaborate across the Norfolk & Waveney Integrated Care System to drive joint workforce programmes, shared policies and regional workforce transformation. Maintain strong links with academic and research partners, including universities and education providers, to support a high‑quality clinical learning environment and advance university hospital ambitions.
