About the Role: We are looking for a skilled CNC Turner / Lathe Turning and Boring Operator to join one of our clients growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming CNC lathes and boring machines to produce high-quality precision components to specification. You will be working on shift rotations 06:00 till 14:00 / 14:00 22:00 Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC turning and boring machines Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications Program/edit CNC programs (Fanuc/Siemens or similar controls preferred) Monitor machining processes and make adjustments as required Ensure components meet quality standards and tolerances Carry out routine maintenance and ensure machines are kept in good working order Use measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health 'safety standards Responsible for operating Over Head Cranes Requirements: Proven experience as a CNC Turner or Lathe Operator (minimum 2 years) Experience with boring operations is highly desirable Ability to read and understand technical drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Experience with CNC programming or editing programs Knowledge of tooling, feeds, and speeds Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Desirable Skills: Experience with multi-axis CNC machines Apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification Familiarity with CAD/CAM software What We Offer: Competitive salary and overtime opportunities Ongoing training and development Supportive team environment Opportunities for career progression If you think this role is the right fit for you please contact us straight away on 0121 270 8777 TPBN1_UKTJ
