The Panton Practice is seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team on a 12-month fixed term contract from August 2026, to provide maternity leave cover.This is an excellent opportunity for a GP looking for 5 to 6 sessions per week within a well-established and forward-thinking practice committed to delivering high quality patient care.Sessions available The post will include:2 sessions on a Thursday2 sessions on a FridayThe remaining 1 to 2 sessions can be worked on a Monday and/or Tuesday.What we offerFixed term contract for 12 months from August 20265 to 6 sessions per weekSessional rate of £11,000 per session per annumSupportive clinical and administrative teamFriendly and collaborative working environmentWell-established practice with a strong team ethosAbout you We are looking for a doctor who is:GMC registered and licensed to practiseIncluded on the NHS Performers ListCommitted to providing high quality general practice careA good team player with excellent communication skillsOrganised, reliable and patient-centred in approachMain duties of the jobThe postholder will provide a full range of general practice services, including routine and urgent consultations, assessment and management of acute and chronic medical conditions, home visits where required, prescribing, clinical administration, and appropriate referral and follow-up of patients. The role will involve working collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care, while maintaining accurate clinical records and supporting the day-to-day clinical needs of the practice.Job responsibilitiesTo provide high quality general medical services as part of the GP team at The Panton Practice, including the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients presenting with acute and chronic conditions, prescribing, referrals, clinical administration, and home visits where required. The postholder will work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and responsive care for the practice population.QualificationsMBBS or equivalent medical qualificationFully registered with the GMC and licensed to practiseIncluded on the NHS Performers ListMRCGP or equivalent experienceExperience of working in UK general practiceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary teamCommitment to high quality, patient-centred careGood clinical decision-making and organisational skillsCompetent IT and clinical record-keeping skillsFlexible and reliable approach to workPrevious experience in a salaried GP roleExperience of managing a broad range of acute and chronic conditions in primary careUnderstanding of current NHS general practice priorities and workloadExperience of working with SystmOneInterest in teaching, training or service developmentDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
