OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Salaried GP to join our Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) team at Lewes Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well-equipped, multi-disciplinary environment, providing high-quality urgent care to patients in Lewes and surrounding areas.As part of our team, you will assess and manage urgent cases, collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, and make a meaningful impact in delivering patient-centered care. The UTC handles a wide range of urgent but non-life‑threatening injuries and illnesses.ResponsibilitiesUndertake the administrative duties associated with the care of patients.Record clinical activity accurately and comprehensively.Participate in service and business planning activity for the team.Attend and participate in the academic programme of the Trust as appropriate to the role, including the monthly departmental academic meetings, Medical Education Afternoons and Grand Rounds as part of the internal CPD programme.Participate annually in a job plan review as set out in the Trust policy on this ply with the UTC and Trust’s agreed policies, procedures, standing orders and financial instructions, and to take an active role in the financial management of the service for own area of work.Recognise and take responsibility for safeguarding children, young people and adults, using appropriate systems for identifying, sharing information, recording and raising concerns, obtaining advice and taking action.QualificationsApplicants must have valid registration with the GMC, License to Practice and entry on the NHS Performers List.Visa and Work EligibilityDue to recent changes in UK immigration and visa rules, this role may not be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
