Senior Bookkeeper (Remote – UK)25 hours per week | Starting salary from £35,000 (pro rata)We’re a growing, specialist accountancy firm supporting ambitious business owners across the UK, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to take ownership of our bookkeeping function.This is not a typical bookkeeping role.We’re looking for someone who wants to step into systems-focused position, —supporting a small team, improving how things are done, and ensuring consistent quality across our clients.You’ll play a key role in helping us scale, putting structure around our processes and supporting the development of junior team members.Please note: We are looking for a very experienced bookkeeper with accountancy practice experience who also has some line management or training experience. This is not what we are looking for,What you’ll be doing:Supporting and overseeing a small bookkeeping teamActing as the go-to person for bookkeeping queries and technical supportReviewing bookkeeping work and VAT returnsOverseeing month-end and VAT processesManaging and supporting sole trader clientsLeading onboarding for new bookkeeping clientsImproving processes, systems, and workflowsSupporting training and development within the teamAbout you:5+ years bookkeeping experience (practice preferred)Strong VAT knowledgeConfident reviewing work and supporting othersOrganised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple prioritiesSystems-focused and always looking to improve how things workConfident communicating with both clients and team membersQualifications:AAT Level 4, ICB qualified, or equivalent experienceThe details:Fully remote (UK-based)25 hours per week (worked across a minimum of 3 days)Starting salary £35,000 (pro rata)Must have the right to work in the UK
