33kV Electrical Design Engineer – HV / Renewable EnergyUK Wide£65,000 + benefits + car allowanceForublue are supporting a leading utilities infrastructure business who are looking to appoint an experienced 33kV Electrical Design Engineer to take ownership of high voltage design and delivery across major UK energy projects.This is a key technical role where you will be involved from early design stages through to construction and commissioning, working across renewable energy, utilities and high demand infrastructure projects such as data centres and battery storage systems.You will also play an important role in mentoring and supporting the wider engineering team as the business continues to grow.Responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer:Leading the design of 33kV electrical networks across solar wind BESS and data centre projectsProducing and reviewing single line diagrams cable sizing protection coordination and earthing designsManaging grid connection applications and liaising with DNOs IDNOs consultants and contractorsEnsuring all designs comply with G99 G100 ENA standards BS7671 and relevant IEC requirementsSupporting HV equipment specification procurement and FAT SAT testing activitiesTaking designs through to construction delivery and final commissioning stagesManaging project programmes budgets risk registers and technical documentationConducting site visits and attending progress and coordination meetingsEnsuring health safety and environmental compliance across all project stagesActing as a key technical interface between clients regulators and internal teamsCriteria of the Electrical Design Engineer:Minimum 5 years’ experience in 33kV HV design or electrical project engineeringStrong background in utility scale renewable energy or high demand infrastructure projectsGood understanding of UK DNO and IDNO grid connection processesExperience working with AutoCAD and electrical design toolsStrong knowledge of CDM regulations and site based HSE requirementsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects across design and construction phasesHigh attention to detail with a proactive and solution focused mindsetWillingness to travel to site as requiredWhat’s on offer?Competitive salary with strong benefits packageCar allowance30 days holidayLong term career development opportunities within a growing businessExposure to major UK energy transition projectsSupportive and collaborative working culture focused on innovation and growthIf you are an experienced HV Design Engineer looking to take ownership of technically challenging projects and play a key role in the UK’s energy transition this is a strong opportunity to progress your career.
