The below job description will outline this position of: Technical Superintendent Typically, this person will ensuring all shipboard mechanical / electrical machinery and navigation electronics are operated and maintained in a safe, efficientmanner. HSB Technicals client is a very established and well-regarded business entity. Duties and responsibilities of the Technical Superintendent: Have full budgetary responsibility of assigned vessels - making sure they are always operational, safe, and efficient Ensure planned vessel inspections are carried out, including preparation of the vessel for appropriate class/flag inspections Take the lead on ensuring everyday maintenance & physical Repairs, dry docks - and making sure this work is carried out to the required industry standards Be a Technical Vessel expert to support land-based, and on-board personnel Qualifications and requirement for the Technical Superintendent: Someone with existing shoreside experience in a similar post, coupled with a background to 2nd Engineer and above, or a strong Ship Repair background Any additional Electrical Engineering exposure and ability to read electrical drawings is very advantageous A problem solver that comes up with realistic solutions Excellent communicator Good eye for detail and report-writing skills Must have the immediate right to live and work in the UK TPBN1_UKTJ
