A leading Purpose Built Rental accommodation company is looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Operative to join their team at a large residential development in Elephant & Castle.In order to make an application, simply read through the following job description and make sure to attach relevant documents.Working hours mainly Monday - Friday 9.00 am - 6.00pm, 8.00 am - 5.00 pm with occasional weekends when required.This modern development is a mixed-use site, made up of private rental apartments, social housing units, and two retail outlets, offering a varied and dynamic working environment. The RoleYou'll be responsible for carrying out a mix of reactive, planned and preventative maintenance across the development, ensuring a high standard of upkeep throughout.Day-to-day duties include:Responding to maintenance requests across apartments, communal areas, and retail spacesCarrying out general repairs including plumbing, basic electrics, painting and decoratingSupporting with apartment turnarounds and end-of-tenancy worksCompleting regular building inspections to identify issues or health 'safety risksAssisting with planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and compliance checksWorking alongside the wider estate and property teamsSupporting contractors on-site and ensuring work is completed safely What We're Looking ForProven experience in general maintenance or a similar roleGood all-round skills (plumbing, basic electrics, decorating)Ability to work independently and manage your own workloadStrong attention to detail and pride in your workGood communication skills and a helpful, resident-focused approachFlexible to work xjdpvnf occasional weekends when requiredStrong health and safety administrator experience DesirableNVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or Maintenance (or similar)Experience working in residential or mixed-use developmentsBasic knowledge of health 'safety procedures What's on OfferStable, full-time role within a growing residential companyOpportunity to work in a modern, large-scale developmentSupportive team environmentOngoing training and development opportunities
