Metal Fitter Location: Walsall Area Pay Rate: 17.00 per hour Shift: Day Shift Monday Thursday: 7:54am 4:30pm Friday: 7:54am 1:30pm The Role We are currently seeking an experienced Fitter to join our team based in the Walsall area. This role involves hands-on work on large structural projects including bridges, ships, and industrial tanks . This Fitter role is workshop-based and requires a strong background in manual metalwork rather than purely machine-led processes. Key Requirements (Essential) Candidates must be able to demonstrate: Proven experience working with stainless steel and carbon steel Previous experience carrying out fitting work , including plater-level tasks Ability to cut, shape, and form metal by hand Willingness to provide examples of previous metalwork projects Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings Experience using a wide range of hand tools Practical, hands-on fabrication experience (not just machine operation) Desirable Skills Tacking / tack welding experience What We Offer 17.00 per hour Day shifts with an early Friday finish Long-term work on reputable, large-scale steel projects If you are an experienced Fitter looking for a stable day-shift role in the Walsall area, we would like to hear from you.
