HGV Class 1 Steel Driver Kingswinford People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Steel Driver to join our well-established client based in Kingswinford, West Midlands . This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and genuine opportunities to grow and progress. This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as a LGV Class 1 Driver , Category CE Driver , or Articulated Lorry Driver . Shifts: Monday to Friday Start times between 04:00 07:00 Rates of Pay: 17.50 19.00 per hour (DOE) Benefits: As a HGV Class 1 Steel Driver , you will receive: Excellent hourly rates Ongoing work Weekly pay On-site canteen Immediate starts available Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties: As a HGV Class 1 Steel Driver , your duties will include (but are not limited to): Delivering steel products (previous steel experience is mandatory) Operating and driving Class 1 (Category CE) vehicles safely and efficiently Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly Adhering to traffic laws and regulations Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as required Essential Skills: As a HGV Class 1 Steel Driver , you will need: Valid UK Category CE driving licence A minimum of 18 months' experience driving Category CE vehicles Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes Good spoken and written English Punctual with excellent time-keeping Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Mandatory previous experience working with and transporting steel Desirable Experience: Previous experience driving commercial vehicles Training Provided: Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout Apply: If you are ready to take on this opportunity as a HGV Class 1 Steel Driver , please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
