We are seeking a Principal Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling) to lead our integrated Mental Health Team at HMP Garth, a Category B mens prison. The Impact Youll Make Lead & Develop: Manage and supervise junior psychological staff while evolving site-specific services. Clinical Excellence: Deliver high-level assessments, complex formulations, and 1:1/group interventions via the 'Making Sense' programme. Expert Guidance: Provide clinical oversight to the Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT) and deliver specialist training to prison and healthcare staff. Innovate: Contribute to audits, research, and service evaluations to ensure we constantly "do things better together." What Youll Need Registration: HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic). Specialism: Postgraduate training in relevant therapies (e.g., CBT, DBT, CAT, Schema, or Systemic). Experience: A proven track record in integrated mental health services and a deep understanding of the unique challenges within secure environments.
