Job Description: This job is being advertised by Neon Contracts who are operating as an Employment Business. We are currently seeking an experienced Inspector / Engineer / Technician to join our Calibration / Metrology team, and I would like to ask whether you would be interested in supporting us with this recruitment. The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience using high-precision dimensional measurement equipment (accuracy to 0.001 mm / 1 micron or better), including: Slip Gauges (Block Gauges) Micrometers Floating Carriage Micrometers (FCM) Universal Length Measuring (ULM) instruments Excellent hand-eye coordination A focused, methodical approach with strong attention to detail Experience with gear and spline calibration, manufacturing, or design (desirable) Experience working in a UKAS-accredited laboratory (desirable) Qualifications: To perform the job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential key function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or abilities required. Basic Requirements: Utilize various aspects of Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Applicants who have a background in Metrology, Automotive or Aerospace mass inspection industries are encouraged to apply. Experienced in the use of gear analyzing equipment would also be considered.
