This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, applying your gardening, horticulture, and landscaping skills to maintain diverse landscapes. You will be responsible for ensuring that gardens, lawns, and green spaces are thriving and visually appealing, contributing to the overall aesthetic and health of our outdoor areas. If youre passionate about gardening, and landscape maintenance, this role provides a dynamic environment where your expertise makes a real impact.Youll be working for a busy and expanding garden maintenance and landscaping company, carrying out domestic and commercial grounds maintenance and landscaping projects. We are based in Newport and cover the surrounding areas of Usk, Raglan, Abergavenny, Cardiff, Caldicot and Chepstow, therefore youll need a clean driving licence.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to keep grass healthy and lushMaintain flower beds, shrubs, trees, and other plantings through pruning, trimming, planting, and wateringOperate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes to carry out planting and maintenance activities efficientlyUse power tools like hedge trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and lawn equipment safely and effectivelyImplement irrigation systems maintenance including inspecting for leaks or clogs and adjusting watering schedules to optimise plant healthConduct landscape maintenance tasks that include weed control, soil preparation, mulching, and pest management to ensure vibrant landscapesRequirementsProven experience in gardening, horticulture, landscaping or related fieldsKnowledge of lawn care techniques including mowing schedules and fertilisation methodsAbility to operate hand tools and power tools safely while maintaining efficiency in outdoor work environmentsStrong understanding of plant growth requirements and landscape maintenance best practicesPhysical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions; ability to stand, walk or lift for extended periodsExcellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to landscape careIdentify and address plant health issues, providing solutions to enhance garden aesthetics.Communicate effectively with team members and clients to understand project requirements.Drive to different job sites, ensuring timely completion of landscaping tasks.Join us if youre eager to bring your gardening expertise into a lively environment where every day offers new opportunities to cultivate stunning landscapes. xjdpvnf Your skills will help create outdoor spaces that inspire beauty and sustainability!If you are reliable, honest and hardworking and think that youre what we are looking for, then please contact us.Job Types:Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Company pensionFree parkingOn-site parkingPrivate medical insuranceApplication question(s):PA1 & PA6 certificates preferableChainsaw licence preferableMinimum of 3 years experience in the horticultural industryWork Location:In person
