CNC Turner Programming, Setting & Operating Poole, Dorset 1920 per hour 3740 hours per week (flexible) The Role We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established precision engineering business in Poole. This is a hands-on role where youll be programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality components across a range of industries including medical, oil & gas, and general engineering. Youll be working on varied batch sizes and more complex work, so confidence and attention to detail are key. Key Responsibilities Programming, setting, and operating CNC turning centres Working with machines such as Nakamura, Goodway, and CMZ (Fanuc controls) Producing components from engineering drawings to tight tolerances Managing batch runs ranging from 10500 units Inspecting your own work using manual measuring equipment Tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments Running multiple machines where required General shop floor duties including deburring and maintaining a clean workspace Requirements Essential: Proven experience as a CNC Turner (programming, setting & operating) Strong experience with Fanuc controls Ability to read and work from engineering drawings Confident using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges) Able to work independently and manage your own workload Desirable: Apprenticeship or time-served background Experience with Nakamura, Goodway, CMZ or similar machines Any CAD knowledge Willingness to learn and develop Hours & Flexibility 3740 hours per week Flexible working patterns available (including 4-day or 4.5-day weeks) Early finish on Fridays Overtime available paid at 1.5x Salary & Benefits 1920 per hour Company pension 5 weeks holiday (200 hours) + bank holidays Overtime paid at 1.5x Free on-site parking TPBN1_UKTJ
