I am recruiting a Financial Planner (Servicing Financial Adviser) on behalf of MFP Wealth Management, a leading independent Financial Planning firm based in Christchurch, Dorset (BH23). The Person: We are happy to consider a technically competent Paraplanner, who is ready to transition into advising, or a service orientated Financial Adviser, keen to work in an environment where relationships and service are paramount, where technology and best practice is embraced, and where your work-life balance is valued. The successful Financial Planner ( Paraplanner or Financial Adviser / Financial Advisor ) will be a warm relationship builder who is service orientated and capable of analysing and addressing clients financial needs and goals. You will have strong technical knowledge in most aspects of financial planning (including tax-efficient investment planning, pensions and retirement planning, protection and estate planning) and will be responsible for developing comprehensive lifetime planning strategies and providing proactive and on-going advice to a select portfolio of HNW clients. The Role: This is an employed role where you be providing fully holistic, independent lifestyle financial planning to an established portfolio of HNW clients. As you learn and transition into the role you will work closely with the Managing Director, who is a Chartered Financial Planner, Author and financial planning expert Podcast host. Working in an environment where your quality of life is equally as important as that of the clients and where quality is prioritised over quantity, you will then take accountability for delivering a high-touch financial planning service to approximately 50 client families there is no expectation to sell, the business is constantly growing through reputation and recommendation. Salary and Benefits: Basic salary up to 75,000 (dependant on experience) + pension + private medical insurance + continued professional development (including the support and funding required to become Chartered, if you are not already) + 25 days holiday + bank holidays. Flexible working hours: As the Financial Planner role is working closely with the MD and most client meetings are held in the office, the successful Financial Planner will be based in the office in Christchurch . However, we are happy to provide flexible working hours and consider candidates on either a full time or part time basis . Financial Planner ( Paraplanner or Financial Adviser / Financial Advisor ) , Responsibilities: Client Advisory: Provide expert advice on financial planning, including tax-efficient investments, pensions, protection, and estate planning. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, whether online or in person, ensuring the highest standard of service delivery. Client Analysis: Assess clients' financial situations, identifying their needs and goals, and develop tailored lifetime financial plans. Compliance and Regulation: Ensure adherence to all Compliance, Legal, Statutory, and Regulatory requirements relevant to financial planning. Professional Development: Stay current with industry standards and regulations, committing to continuous professional development. Technology: Fully utilise existing technology (A.I, cashflow etc.) and implement technological enhancements, aimed at optimising client service delivery. Financial Planner ( Paraplanner or Financial Adviser / Financial Advisor ) , Skills and Experience: 3 years + experience, gained as a Paraplanner or Financial Planner / Financial Adviser. Diploma in Financial Planning (Dip PFS, Level 4 or equivalent) Experience of all areas of financial planning cashflow forecasting, tax-efficient investment planning, pensions and retirement planning, protection and estate planning etc. Either Chartered or keen to work towards becoming a Certified/Chartered Financial Planner (support with this will be provided). Tech savvy and embracing of change confident suggesting and overseeing the implementation of enhanced technologies (e.g. an improved CRM system). Emotionally intelligent, a keen listener, a strong communicator and a warm relationship builder, demonstrating a caring, client-centric approach. A motivated and proactive self-starter and a collaborative team player, comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Quality focused, analytical with excellent attention to detail.
