R&D Assembly Technician (Electrical Bias) - Precision Engineering Location: Leicester Salary: Competitive + Benefits Job Type: Permanent | Full Time Sector: Engineering | Manufacturing | R&D | Precision Equipment Are you an Electrical Assembly Technician looking to move into a R&D environment? We are supporting a highly respected engineering manufacturer in the recruitment of an R&D Assembly Technician (Electrical Bias) to join its growing R&D team. The business designs and manufacturers advanced precision equipment used in demanding global markets, offering a technically challenging and rewarding environment. The Role Working as part of a skilled and collaborative team, you will assemble, test and calibrate complex products, supporting both prototype development and production transition. This is a varied, hands-on role with the opportunity to progress into engineering or operations-focused positions. Key Responsibilities Electrical and mechanical assembly using technical drawings and schematics Assembly, testing and calibration of high-value, precision products Support prototype builds and new product introduction (NPI) Work closely with engineering teams to improve processes and product performance Run test procedures, collect data and complete technical documentation Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and output Skills & Experience Experience in electrical and mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics Experience working with R&D or Manufacturing Engineering teams Strong attention to detail and inspection skills Experience running test procedures and documenting results The Person Positive, proactive and "can-do" attitude Strong attention to detail and pride in quality Able to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and collaboration skills Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment Why Apply?
