Join our U.S. Mission team, based at the U.S. Embassy London Annex in Croughton, as a Registered Nurse and become an integral part of our healthcare team supporting American diplomats and their families. As the Registered Nurse, you will be the cornerstone of healthcare delivery for our diplomatic community. Working under the direct clinical supervision of the Regional Medical Officer (RMO), youll manage a dynamic medical unit that combines primary care, urgent care, and occupational health services. This is not your typical nursing positionits an opportunity to practice autonomous nursing in a unique international environment while making a tangible impact on U.S. foreign policy operations. Duties will include: - Maintaining a primary care/urgent care clinic for all ICASS eligible Direct Hire American (DHA) employees and their eligible family members (EFM), as well as maintaining an occupational health unit for all Post employees, LE Staff, Contractors, DHA & EFMs. - Arranging Medevacs through RMO/MP/RMO-P and in coordination with MED/Foreign Programs or appropriate Regional Medevac Center. - Preparing cables for fund cites requests and verifying and approving clearance-related medical and laboratory invoices for payment. - Maintaining inventory and procurement processes for all medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment. Performing workplace health and safety surveys. - Maintaining a list of acceptable local medical consultants and a copy of their credentials. Assisting in identifying quality providers and facilities in the local community and working with the RMO/MP/RMO-P to develop a referral network of providers/facilities that is vetted, and assuring the best quality of care for the Mission members. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item. EDUCATION: Degree (RN Level) in Nursing or Diploma/Certificate equivalent from an accredited or recognized School of Nursing. Must possess and maintain a valid, current, and unrestricted nursing license from the host nation, the U.S., or a third country and be able to legally work as a nurse in the country of employment. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two (2) years (equivalent of 4,160 hours) of post-qualification clinical work as a professional nurse within the last 10 (ten) years is required. No more than a five-year gap in clinical practice is permitted. Clinical work experience includes direct practical patient care (i.e. patient assessment, medication administration, immunizations, IV insertions, laboratory procedures, etc.).
