Main duties of the jobYou will undertake 6-8 clinical sessions per week, including routine GP clinics and list-based care, offering continuity and variety in your day-to-day work. Job responsibilitiesThe post-holder will be responsible for delivering a full range of primary care services, including but not limited to: Providing routine and urgent GP consultations, both face-to-face and via telephone or digital platforms. Managing a defined patient list, ensuring continuity of care and building strong therapeutic relationships. Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions in line with current clinical guidelines and best practice. Undertaking home visits when clinically appropriate. Prescribing medications and treatments in accordance with regulatory and practice policies. Reviewing and actioning laboratory results, clinical correspondence, and other administrative tasks in a timely manner. Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and optimise outcomes. Supporting preventive healthcare initiatives, including screening, immunisations, and health promotion activities. Contributing to practice meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives. Participating in the training and supervision of GP trainees and other learners where appropriate.
