HGV Class 2 Driver Multi-Drop Riddings, Alfreton People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Riddings, Alfreton.This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.This role is ideal for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver looking for consistent day-shift work. This role will suit applicants who have worked as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Lorry Driver.Shifts: Monday to Friday (weekend work available)Various shifts available, early mornings, days, nightsNights paid at a 20% premium Rates of Pay:14.50 per hour (Monday to Friday days)Check out the role overview below If you are confident you have got the right skills and experience, apply today. 17.40 per hour (Monday to Friday nights)Benefits:As a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will receive: Ongoing work with temporary to permanent opportunities Weekly pay Your own vehicle from day one Training provided (fully-paid induction programme) Immediate starts available Employee well-being programmeDay-to-Day Duties:As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):Class 2 multi-drop deliveries, general haulage, delivering palletised goods Operating Category C vehicles safely and efficiently Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements Assisting with loading and unloading when required, both curtain side and back loaders vehiclesEssential SkillsTo be successful as a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:Valid UK Category C Driving Licence Minimum of twelve months' experience driving Category C vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes) Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card Good spoken and written English Excellent punctuality and timekeeping Strong understanding of UK road traffic laws Effective communication skillsDesirable Experience:Previous experience driving commercial vehicles, at least a year.
