A well-established, family-run lift engineering business is seeking a Lift Service Engineer to join a small, dedicated team covering the Lincolnshire region.Find out more about the daily tasks, overall responsibilities, and required experience for this opportunity by scrolling down now.Role Overview of a Lift EngineerThis is a field-based role focused initially on service and repair of lifts, with the opportunity to progress into installation work over time (with full training provided). You will be fully embedded within a supportive engineering team.You will work across a variety of sites including commercial buildings, residential properties, schools, and care environments.Key Responsibilities of a Lift Engineer Service, maintenance, and repair of lift systemsResponding to breakdowns and emergency call-outsFault finding and diagnosing mechanical/electrical issuesCompleting service reports via tabletEnsuring compliance with safety and industry standardsLiaising professionally with clients and site contactsSupporting installation work when trained and requiredWorking flexibly as part of a responsive engineering team Hours & Working Pattern 40 hours per week (standard hours: 8am 4pm)Reactive work required depending on lift breakdownsFlexibility is essential, as call-outs can varyFlexibility works both ways time can be given back or adjusted when engineers exceed hoursEarly finishes may be available where workload allows and commitments are met Salary & Benefits 38,000 per year starting salaryOvertime paid at:Time and a half (after 10pm)Double time (weekends and bank holidays)Company van provided (fully equipped, top specification, kept at home)Company phone and tablet providedTools suppliedOngoing training and developmentOpportunity to progress into installation work Requirements of a Lift Engineer Ideally NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (must be able to demonstrate qualification)Strong experience in lift service and repair preferredAbility to work independently and as part of a small teamFlexible and reactive approach to workloadStrong communication and customer service skillsFull UK driving licenceMust be able to pass an enhanced DBS check (due to working in schools and with vulnerable people) Culture & Team FitWe are a small, supportive, family-style business where teamwork matters.
