An established and highly respected precision engineering business within the aerospace supply chain is seeking a Planning & Estimating Engineer to join its commercial team. The company manufactures complex, high-specification components for leading OEMs and is recognised for its quality, reliability, and continued investment in advanced machining technology.Scroll down the page to see all associated job requirements, and any responsibilities successful candidates can expect.Operating in a high-mix, low-volume environment, this is a key role bridging commercial and manufacturing functions, supporting the successful delivery of customer projects from enquiry through to production.Key responsibilities:Managing RFQs/RFPs, from small batches to large work packagesPreparing accurate estimates and customer quotationsConducting contract reviews to ensure compliance with requirementsCreating parts, BOMs, and route plans within the ERP systemProcessing sales orders and raising purchase/subcontract documentationLiaising with production, engineering, and quality teamsMonitoring order progress and updating customersSupporting reporting through data analysis and performance metricsKey requirements:Experience within aerospace precision engineering or CNC machiningStrong understanding of aerospace standards and manufacturing processesExperience in estimating, planning, or programme managementKnowledge of ERP/MRP systemsStrong organisational, analytical, and communication skillsThis is a central, high-visibility role offering the opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering business with ongoing investment and strong growth plans.What's on offer:Competitive salary (DOE)20 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing with service)Early finish on FridaysOngoing training and developmentASC Connections Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions. xjdpvnf We are committed to equal opportunity and diversity.
