Electrical Calibration Technician Electrical Test Equipment (Defence)Are you an Electrical Calibration Technician with hands on experience calibrating electrical and electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and power supplies?If the following job requirements and experience match your skills, please ensure you apply promptly.Guidant Global is partnering with a leading UK defence organisation to recruit an Electrical Calibration Technician to support the calibration and maintenance of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) and Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE) used within a highly regulated, safety critical manufacturing environment.This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging equipment that directly supports critical defence programmes.Key Responsibilities:Calibrating and maintaining electrical and electronic test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies and function generatorsCarrying out initial and routine calibration of COTS and bespoke Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE)Ensuring factory and proprietary test equipment remains compliant with documented proceduresCompleting calibration, maintenance and repair activities in line with departmental processesProducing accurate, traceable calibration and maintenance records to support audit and quality requirementsWorking collaboratively within a multi disciplined Operations and Engineering environmentWhat do you need?:Qualifications (Essential Pathways)You must hold one of the following:Advanced / Level 3 Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing ApprenticeshipORLevel 3 academic qualification (ONC / Diploma or equivalent) ANDLevel 3 vocational qualification (NVQ)(NVQ not required if a Level 3 apprenticeship standard has been achieved)If you have strong, relevant calibration experience in a regulated or manufacturing environment and are unsure on qualification alignment, applications are encouraged for discussion.Technical experience 'skillsExperience calibrating electrical test equipment (e.g. power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators)Exposure to calibration of COTS and/or bespoke test equipmentAbility to produce clear, comprehensive calibration and maintenance documentationUnderstanding of in service inspection and testing of electrical equipmentExperience working with Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) facilities is desirableComfortable following manufacturer instructions, procedures and quality standardsFamiliarity with SAP or similar systems is beneficial (not essential)What happens now?Upon submission of your application, should it meet our selection criteria, you will be contacted via e-mail by one of our talent acquisition specialists to arrange a screening call.
