Driving safe working practices and ensuring full legal complianceShaping HSE strategy and influencing policy developmentLeading risk assessments and safe systems of workEmbedding HSE standards through daily site presence and coachingDelivering impactful training and inductionsInvestigating incidents to identify root causes and prevent recurrenceLeading audits, inspections, and compliance reportingOwning ISO 45001 & 14001 systems and audit plansPartnering with SLT, HR and Occupational Health on key issuesDriving continuous improvement through data, insights and scorecardsLeading emergency preparedness and environmental complianceWhat you'll need to be successful. NEBOSH General Certificate & National Diploma (essential)Environmental qualification (essential)Experience within a senior HSE role in manufacturing (7-10 years)Knowledge of ISO 45001 (essential) and ISO 14001 (desirable)An engineering background and familiarity working within manufacturing environmentsStrong influencing and stakeholder management skillsAn adaptable mindset, an appreciation of the need to adjust your style when the need arisesExperience in food manufacturing, HACCP or DuPont methodologies (desirable)About the team. You'll be based at our Scarborough plant in North Yorkshire. We opened this plant back in the swinging sixties, but it's definitely not stuck in the past. It's one of the largest French fry factories in the world and after a recent development, it's also one of the most high tech.
