Rotating Shifts (Mon-Fri, Early Finishes)?? 32,000 - 37,700 (DOE)About the RoleWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Printer (Gravure) to join a small, high-performing manufacturing team at our Cramlington site, supporting the production of healthcare and pharmaceutical packaging.This is a hands-on operational role suited to a skilled printer who can set up, operate, and maintain gravure presses independently, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and consistency. The successful candidate will be someone who requires minimal training and can quickly integrate into a well-established operation with low machine downtime.Shift PatternMonday to Friday rotating shifts:6:00am - 2:00pm2:00pm - 10:00pmEarly finish on Friday1-hour early finish on ThursdayKey ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and maintain gravure printing presses (2, 3, and 6-colour machines)Install engraved cylinders and configure ink flow and web tensionInterpret job specifications and production schedules accuratelyMonitor print quality, ensuring colour consistency and defect preventionCarry out fault-finding and resolve technical issues to minimise downtime and wasteComplete production and quality documentation accuratelyFollow strict health, safety, hygiene, and quality standardsSupport continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, and efficiencyWork closely with Production, QA, and Engineering teamsGuide and support assistants when requiredHealth, Safety & QualityDue to the nature of healthcare and pharmaceutical products, this role operates within a highly controlled environment. xjdpvnf You will be expected to:Actively follow and promote OHSE standardsParticipate in safety training and risk assessmentsMaintain excellent housekeeping and hygiene standards (6S)Operate strictly in line with SOPs and quality systemsSupport internal and external auditsEssential Skills & ExperienceProven experience operating gravure printing pressesMinimum 3-colour press experience (multi-colour experience preferred)Strong understanding of gravure printing processes, ink systems, and cylinder preparationHigh attention to detail with strong colour-matching abilityConfident fault-finding and problem-solving skillsExperience working in a quality-driven manufacturing environmentAbility to work independently and under pressureStrong communication and teamwork skillsQualificationsLevel 3 Apprenticeship in Machine Printing (preferred), orEquivalent hands-on experience with gravure printing equipmentIf you are an experienced gravure printer looking for a stable, quality-driven role where your expertise is valued, we would be keen to hear from you.??
