In relation to this, you must advise your line manager immediately of any visits to site by external agencies such as the Health & Safety Executive, Environmental Health Officers etc.Essential Skills: Degree-qualified in Building Services Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience)Minimum 3+ years' experience in electrical design, with a proven track record of owning and delivering design packagesDemonstrated ability to produce high-quality technical deliverables, including drawings, specifications, schedules and schematicsProficient in industry-standard design tools for lighting and electrical calculations (e.g. Amtech, Dialux, Relux or equivalent)Strong working knowledge of relevant British Standards and statutory compliance requirementsThorough understanding of the IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition)Experience coordinating designs within multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, structural and architectural)Confident in reviewing and interpreting technical information to ensure accuracy, compliance and buildabilityExperience working within BIM environments, with the ability to provide clear and coordinated drawing mark-upsExcellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with clients, contractors and internal stakeholdersStrong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet project deadlinesProactive approach to risk management, including the development of risk registers and practical mitigation strategiesHigh attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality, compliant design solutionsAbility to critically review external designs, identifying non-compliance, risks and opportunities, and supporting RFIs and technical queriesProficient in Microsoft Office and general documentation tools Desirable Skills: Experience producing high-level performance specifications and design packages for Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)Chartered Engineer (CEng) status xjdpvnf and Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)Working knowledge of Department for Education (DfE) guidelines and Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) compliance requirementsUnderstanding of decarbonisation strategies, including the ability to undertake energy modelling, simulations and financial appraisals (carbon savings, ROI), using historical half hourly data to establish performance baselinesProficient in Revit, with strong experience operating within a BIM-led design environmentCommercially aware, with a solid understanding of project delivery within construction settingsExperience working in close collaboration with, or directly for, Main Contractors or M&E ContractorsFamiliar with coordinating fire stopping requirements and producing compliant builder's work drawings and schedulesExperience contributing to value engineering (VE) processes, with the ability to evaluate and communicate broader project impactsProactive in developing and implementing processes that enhance team efficiency and overall design delivery Streamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
