Senior Building SurveyorWorking in the Cambridge area, attached to our Norwich officeUp to 55,000 DoE37 Hours per week (working 9-5 with flexible working arrangements)Norse Group's Consulting services is a national, award-winning property consultancy delivering high profile buildings to a range of public and private sector clients across the UK. Our multi-disciplined teams provide a number of property services to our clients, undertaking a wide range of projects including residential/commercial/educational of varying size and complexity, resulting in innovative, sustainable and commercially viable delivery.Do not pass up this chance, apply quickly if your experience and skills match what is in the following description.We are delighted to be able to recruit a new Senior Building Surveyor into the team on a full time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday with flexible working arrangements .Our clients include a number of Local Authorities and public sector organisations, with some private sector clients. We have a diverse range of project and building types offering variety to the role including live projects within Education, Care Home, Waste and Residential sectors. Short term, we have a secure programme of Local Authority school condition surveys to undertake, alongside a survey programme of corporate public sector buildings.Our wider team are currently engaged in delivery everything from planned and reactive maintenance programmes through to large Passivhaus residential developments, with the ability to offer a diverse range of experience.The Role:As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will be working alongside expert and multi-disciplined property professionals. You will be expected to offer technical and business advice regarding building surveying and maintenance across several areas, including condition, asbestos, access audits and fire risk assessments.Due to the diverse nature of our business, you will have the opportunity to get involved with a range of different projects, undertaking a number of duties including;Planned and preventative maintenance condition surveysTechnical due diligence surveys for both commercial and residential propertiesPreparing and undertaking specifications, drawings and risk assessments for a number of new build and refurbishments projectsCarrying out site surveys in relation to condition, undertaking schedules of condition, dilapidations, measured surveys and defect analysisLeading quality assurance across projects and services, ensuring client needs are met and relevant legislation is adhered toCollating and presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders, offering solutions and recommendations where requiredOur SuccessfulCandidate:Our successful candidate will have extensive previous experience within a similar role and industry, supported by:Ability to foster professional relationships with new and existing clientsProven experience in a similar building surveying roleAbility to work independently with minimal support or within a large multi-disciplinary teamPreviously worked on a variety of new build and refurbishment projectsKnowledge of the Building Regulations, and other relevant construction and building surveying related legislationExcellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and negotiate with all levels of internal and external partiesAbility to work independently with minimal support or within a large multi-disciplinary team.Our Offer:25 days annual leave, plus 8 bank holidaysCompany pension and sickness schemeProfessional Fees are fundedHybrid working arrangementsAccess to the RICS Professional Qualification Support Package, support and development towards RICS Chartership is available (if applicable)Along with the above, we constantly strive to offer support and development opportunities to all of our staff, so you will be encouraged to grow within the role.An enhanced DBS check will be required for our successful candidate, payment will be met by the employer.We are committed to employment practices and behaviours which encourage diversity, promote equality of treatment and eliminate unlawful and or unfair discrimination.We reserve the right to close this vacancy once we have received sufficient applications. xjdpvnf If you have not been contacted within two weeks of the closing date, please assume that your application has not been successful and will not be progressed to the next stage.
