As Research Engagement and Involvement Manager, you will lead engagement across a wide research portfolio, working with researchers, the MND Community, and external partners to influence decisions and outcomes that matter.While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.You will join the Motor Neurone Disease Associations Research and Innovation team, where involvement is central to how research is designed, delivered and shared. The Research Engagement and Involvement Manager plays a key role in ensuring research reflects diverse experiences, participation and representation to support progress in MND research innovation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead involvement and engagement across the research portfolioDesign and implement research engagement strategies and activity, promoting awareness and understanding of MND researchManage and grow initiatives including MND Encourage UKSupport researcher understanding and good practice in involvement approachesOrganise and lead events, webinars, seminars, podcasts and workshops with researchers and the MND communityEvaluate and report on the impact of initiatives, ensuring inclusivity and ethical standardsWork with internal teams to ensure clear, joined-up messagingRepresent the MND Association in external collaborations and networksAbout YouDegree (or equivalent experience) in biological sciences, public engagement, or a related fieldExperience leading or supporting public and patient involvement and engagement (PPIE) initiatives in researchExperience leading or supporting involvement in researchStrong understanding of involvement standards and methodsAbility to communicate and interpret complex scientific research clearlyExperience working with diverse and underrepresented communitiesConfident relationship builder with researchers and stakeholdersExcellent organisation skills with strong project management skillsHybrid working expectations: one day per week office attendance in NorthamptonFurther information about MND Association and full job description is available in the attached Candidate Pack.We are committed to equality, diversity, and inclusivity.
