Job Description

We are recruiting a Head of Partnership Finance for our client who willcollaborate closely with the CFO and senior leadership team on all matters relating to partnership accounting and the tax position of both the Firm and its Partners. Managing a small, specialised team, the role carries overall responsibility for delivering outcomes across the following key areas: Partnership Finance: Lead a team responsible for managing and reporting on partner remuneration, distributions, capital contributions, and other balances for more than 250 partners worldwide, ensuring accuracy on an individual partner basis. Take ownership of the REM process from a finance standpoint. Tax: Take a proactive leadership role in overseeing the Firms tax matters, working alongside key Finance colleagues to provide a high-quality, comprehensive tax service. Projects / Advisory: Leverage deep knowledge of the Firm to bring together finance and tax insights, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholdersincluding Board memberson strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions across both domestic and international markets. Partnership & Tax Responsibilities Overall accountability includes the areas outlined above, in addition to: Overseeing Partners financial matters, including drawings, profit allocations, reserves, and capital accounts Ensuring compliance with filing obligations across all jurisdictions, engaging external advisors where appropriate Managing the preparation and submission of UK and international partner tax returns, addressing queries from partners or tax authorities promptly Coordinating with external advisors on global tax reporting requirements Overseeing the onboarding and departure processes for partners Calculating UK and international tax liabilities, including payments on account Lead the REM process from a Finance perspective and work with direct reports to anticipate the impact of legislative tax changes, providing guidance to the business as needed. Maintain strong relationships with professional advisors to ensure maximum value is achieved. Skills & Experience Professional qualification such as ATT, CTA, ADIT, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA Experience working in a professional services organisation supporting Partner remuneration essential General exposure to company wide tax strategies will be valued Exposure to Partner tax initiatives will also be of value but not essential Proven experience engaging with senior executive stakeholders, with the presence and credibility to build trust Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels Strategic mindset with the ability to influence high-level decision-making Logical and structured approach to problem-solving High level of attention to detail Strong commercial awareness TPBN1_UKTJ
