JDR Recruitment (Mansfield) are working in partnership with a leading retailer based in Newark to recruit for a number of 7.5 Tonne Delivery Drivers to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering white goods such as washing machines, fridges, cookers, and dishwashers directly to customers' homes. This is a customer-facing position, so excellent communication and a positive attitude are essential. Key ResponsibilitiesSafely drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle to complete scheduled home deliveriesDeliver and position white goods in customers' homes with careWork as part of a two-person delivery team when requiredProvide excellent customer service at every deliveryComplete daily vehicle checks and ensure compliance with road safety regulationsAccurately complete delivery paperwork and use handheld devices where requiredHandle goods carefully to prevent damage during loading, transport, and deliveryRequirementsValid Category C1 (7.5T) driving licence - max 6 points, no D10 Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card - new passes are accepted provided some commercial driving experience has been undertaken Previous experience in multi-drop or home delivery (preferred but not essential)Good level of physical fitness (heavy lifting involved)Strong time management and organisational skillsFriendly, professional attitude when dealing with customersThis role is also subject to a pre-employment criminal record check which will be carried out prior to the assignment and all candidates are required to disclose any criminal convictions beforehand. A drug and alcohol test will also be carried out during the driving assesment. Shift PatternThe Company offers a rota to all colleagues, providing them with consistent shifts. The shift pattern is a 5 on, 3 off shift rota. Therefore, candidates must be aware that some weekend working will be required. Only candidates able to commit to a 5 on, 3 off shift pattern should apply.Hours of Work:Shifts start at 7am and typically last between 8-10 hours, depending on routing, traffic, etc.Pay RateThis role pays 13.60 per hour, paid weekly in arrears. Overtime is paid at time and a half for all hours worked after 45 hours per week, with regular overtime available.Induction / Start DateImmediate start and induction available.
