About the clientMy client is a leading provider of electrical services, delivering high-quality solutions across commercial, industrial, and data centre environments.They are currently are seeking a Permanent skilled Electrician with proven data centre experience and strong testing and inspection capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting critical electrical infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, test, and repair electrical systems within data centre environmentsCarry out electrical inspection and testing, including initial verification and periodic inspectionComplete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and associated certificationWork on critical systems including UPS, generators, PDUs, and HV/LV distributionPerform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasksDiagnose faults using appropriate testing equipment and methodsRead and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentationEnsure all work complies with current regulations and health 'safety standardsSupport commissioning, energisation, and validation of electrical systemsMaintain accurate documentation of testing results and completed works Requirements Proven experience as an Electrician within data centres or critical environmentsNVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) in Inspection & TestingDemonstrable experience carrying out inspection, testing, and certification of electrical installationsStrong knowledge of fault-finding and diagnostic proceduresExperience working with critical power infrastructure (UPS, generators, etc.)Ability to xjdpvnf work independently and within a teamGood understanding of health 'safety practices Desirable Skills Experience in live data centre environmentsKnowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS)IPAF / PASMA certificationsHV authorisation or experienceExperience with commissioning and validation processes On Offer is Competitive salary (dependent on experience)Training and career progression opportunitiesSupportive and professional working environmentPension scheme For more information on this role please contact Colleen Horner via email on
