University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to work with us.Job title:Consultant Diagnostic Neuroradiologist (DNR) Start date:ASAP Contract type:PermanentPlease see below for detailed job description of the role.What we’re looking forFull GMC RegistrationCompleted general training in Radiology and Diagnostic Neuroradiology at specialist level in a recognised centreExperience and skills in a subspecialist area of neuroradiology and willingness to develop these aspects furtherAbility to work within multidisciplinary healthcare teamsEnthusiasm for teaching and trainingUnderstanding of and willingness to participate in clinical governance and audit activitiesAppropriate level of leadership, organisational, communication, professional and personal abilities to be effective in the role of consultant diagnostic neuroradiologist in a large teaching hospitalMain duties of the jobContribute to provision of a high quality, consultant-led diagnostic neuroradiology imaging service.Share in the 24/7 cover of the service, including on call on a rota basis (intended to be 1 in 7 with prospective cover)Develop specialist skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and support regional tertiary services.Along with their consultant colleagues, provide clinical supervision and professional management of radiology trainees.Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and protocol optimisation to enhance patient pathways and departmental efficiency.Some duties may be provided by offsite working.For an overview of the position, please refer to the attached Job Description and Person Specification document.
