Located in Hillsboro, OR Salary: $23.00 - $25.00 hourShipping and Receiving ClerkPay: $23.00 - $25.00 hourShift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMHillsboro, OR#hill1940Job Summary: Shipping and receiving clerk is an essential position with our factory. They are responsible for shipping goods to external customers as well as receiving, recording and storing incoming goods. A successful clerk completes all job assignments including packaging, inventory control, data entry and any other tasks assigned by the Production Manager or Inventory & Receiving LeadDescription of Tasks and Responsibilities: Continuous, daily housekeeping of shipping officeReceives, unpacks, and organize all materials and supplies properly, ensuring organization is maintained and First In First Out (FIFO) is followedRemain aware of upcoming deliveries, inventory, supplies, maintenance and fixed assets to rotate stock following FIFO guidelines.Receive and log shipment receivables into internal system on a daily pleting required inventory counts on a yearly, monthly, weekly and daily schedule.Suggest improvements that will increase yields or reduce operating costs when considering inventory levels, inventory control and purchasing requisitionsCoordinates with all other departments to ensure inventory is organized, counts are complete, stock levels are properly maintained and needed items are readily availableMove and stage raw material to the production staging areasMaintained and limit number of locations material is kept atMeeting daily shipment schedulesPrepares shipping documentation accurately and in a timely mannerSchedules and coordinates carriers and freight forwardersAssembles orders and prepares goods for shipment including certificates and labelsRecords shipment data, including weightLabel items appropriately with part number, quantity and dateCommunicate any unforeseen fluctuations in usage to leadership and purchasing, as they occurReports damages and discrepancies to accounting for reimbursement and record-keeping purposesSkills and Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED requiredRequires excellent verbal and written English communication skillsAbility to work with a diverse work force0-2 years of previous experience in shipping and receivingSemiconductor wafer industry experience is a bonusAbility to communicate across multiple departments and levels of business from executives and engineers to production leaders and operatorsA strong attention to detailSelf-initiative person with a desire to learn, grow and evolve your role and its effectivenessAbility to work in a multitasking environment and to adjust to rapidly shifting prioritiesStrong computer knowledge especially with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word and PowerPointSafety-first mindset where requirements will be strictly followed and promoted at all timesPhysical Demands: Ability to manage physical lifting of multiple items up to 50lbs. frequentlyAbility to push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs frequentlyStanding, handling and walking up to 90% of shiftSitting, pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling and crouching occasionallyWork Environment: Environment can be loud with multiple pieces of machinery running at the same timeGeneral manufacturing and clean room environmentsWorking with toxic or caustic chemicals dailyUse of factory provided uniforms and special factory shoes are required.Some work is completed in a super clean room. It is required that anyone in a clean room must wear a company provided full Class 10 Cleanroom outfits, inclusive of snoods, masks, bunny suits, boots and glovesAdditional Items: Must be flexible with scheduling. Although this is generally a set schedule, there will be business demands that fall outside of normal working hours that require an understanding of schedule adjustment to complete tasks as expected.Use of factory provided uniforms and special factory shoes are required.
